| Hexagons make a comeback You probably know that hexagons are making a huge comeback in the quilting world and even the 'modern quilters' are incorporating hexagons in their quilts. I've mentioned before the wonderful difference the Sewline glue pen makes in quickly assembling the hexagons before stitching them together. I've even produced a video on YouTube that demonstrates this technique. So to inspire you to give it a go, I've put together a Hexagon starter kit for just $30.00, saving you $2.60 if you purchased the products individually. 4" acrylic hexagon template. This is the perfect size for quickly cutting your hexagon fabric shapes with a rotary cutter. Because the acrylic is clear you can also fussy cut your hexagons to make even more wonderful patterns. Pack of 50 precut 1½" hexagon paper shapes. These fit perfectly with the fabric shapes you have cut above. These papers can be used several times over. Sewline Glue pen and refill. Quickly glue your hexagon fabric shapes to the precut paper shape and then you can get stitching. The glue is washable and easy to peel off so that the papers can be reused. Hexagon starter kit: $30.00 saving you $2.60. You'll be hoooked! The bag opposite is a sneak preview of a new bag pattern I'll have ready shortly. |
